Casting the relief "Helgeson"

In memory of the gardener Bengt Helgeson, Alvesta Allmänna konstförening and Albohus ordered a relief in bronze for the main street in Alvesta.

Creating the sculpture in plaster

Making a plaster mould for the wax model.

Casting the wax model by painting melted wax in the mould.

Assembling the pouring gate made of wax

Making the investment mould of refractory ceramic.

Dewaxing and heating the ceramic mould.

Pouring melted bronze (1200 C)

Welding the parts together.

The relief is ready and the width is about 120 cm.
